  • Crankpins (rod journals) manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and through-hardened to 58–62 Rc.
  • Equipped with the latest needle bearing designs, optimized to ensure reliable longevity at high rpm.
  • Big end specially designed with side cutouts and ventilation slots to minimize deformation of the needle bearing cage at high rpm.
  • Small ends double-drilled to provide additional lubrication and cooling to the piston wrist pin bearing, particularly useful when the piston crown is close to the bearing.
  • Ball-peened to remove crack starters and smooth the radii of the forged rod, thereby improving fatigue resistance.
  • Dual honing applied to ensure an ultra-round bearing surface and optimal reliability at high rpm.
  • Most rod assemblies are supplied complete: rod, crankpin, crankpin bearing, small-end bearing and silver-plated phosphor bronze thrust washers.
