  • Anatomically designed for young riders and juniors, the all-new SM3 Youth helmet is specially optimized for MX, Enduro, and off-road riding.
  • Lightweight, it features a thermo-injected shell with a specific polymer blend in variable thicknesses, offering the best compromise between impact protection and lightness. Its advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic outer shell is offered in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large). Weight of the SM3 Youth: 1,060 g.
  • Fit is customizable thanks to crown and cheek pads available in different thicknesses as original parts.
  • Youth Medium and Youth Large use the same EPS size, so you can first purchase a YM helmet and then configure it to Youth Large via crown and cheek spare parts.
  • Youth Small has a more compact EPS and can only be adjusted via the cheek pads. Alpinestars’ extensive research shows that children wearing size YS are very young, typically 3 to 4 years old, and require a dedicated helmet fit.
  • Multi-density inner liner ensuring optimal impact absorption while contributing to a reduced overall helmet weight.
  • Interior and exterior surfaces engineered to limit the effects of oblique impacts.
  • Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating applied inside the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces during oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip surface, similar to cerebrospinal fluid.
  • Patented visor release system ensuring controlled breakaway to effectively reduce forces on the rider’s neck in the event of an impact.
  • Comfort liner made from recycled materials for a reduced carbon footprint.
  • Dedicated hydration hose channels integrated into the cheek foam for easier use and enhanced performance.

  • Alpinestars has introduced a new internal standard for the SM3 Youth by testing the chin bar under conditions stricter than the homologation standard; the shell thickness and chin structure have been optimized for increased impact protection.
  • Equipped with the Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads for safe removal even while the helmet is being worn; contoured 3D foam ensures superior comfort.
  • 25 mm soft textile chin strap offering optimal safety and comfort.
