  • Built on an anatomical base and specially contoured for young riders, the all-new SM3 Youth helmet is designed for MX, enduro, and off-road.
  • Lightweight helmet featuring a thermo-injected shell made from a specific multi-thickness polymer blend, offering the best balance between lightness and impact protection.
  • Advanced thermoplastic outer shell, impact-resistant and lightweight, offered in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large). The SM3 Youth weighs 1,060 g.
  • Customizable fit thanks to crown and cheek pads provided in different thicknesses as standard.
  • Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, allowing you to start with YM and then move to Youth Large by replacing the crown liner and cheek pads as they grow.
  • Youth Small features a more compact EPS and can only be customized via the cheek pads. Alpinestars' extensive research shows that children wearing size YS are very young, generally between 3 and 4 years old, and require a dedicated fit.
  • Multi-density inner liner for optimal impact absorption while reducing helmet weight.
  • Internal and external surfaces engineered to mitigate the effects of oblique impacts.
  • Alpinestars' patented low-friction coating applied inside the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces during oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip surface, similar to cerebrospinal fluid.
  • Patented visor release system ensures controlled breakaway and reduces stress on the neck in the event of an impact.
  • Comfort liner made from recycled materials to help reduce carbon footprint.
  • Dedicated hydration-hose channels are integrated into the cheek pads for added convenience and performance.

  • Alpinestars has set a new internal standard for the SM3 Youth, subjecting the chin bar to tests more demanding than the homologation standard. To meet it, the shell thickness and chin-area structure have been optimized to improve impact absorption.
  • Equipped with the Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads for simple, safe helmet removal; contoured 3D foam ensures rider comfort.
  • Soft 25 mm textile chin strap ensuring a high level of safety and comfort.
  • Stainless-steel D-ring closure for a secure fit.

  • Maximum ventilation and excellent heat exchange thanks to 10 air intakes and seven exhaust ports.
  • Visor designed to channel airflow to the various ports and improve air circulation.
