  • Anatomically designed and profiled for young riders, the all-new SM3 Youth helmet is built for MX, Enduro, and off-road riding, and incorporates many technologies from Alpinestars’ adult range to deliver an ideal balance of performance, protection, and comfort.
  • Lightweight helmet featuring a thermo-injected, proprietary multi-thickness polymer blend shell, engineered to provide optimal impact protection while keeping weight low.
  • Advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic outer shell, lightweight and offered in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large). The SM3 Youth weighs 1,060 g.
  • Tailored fit thanks to crown and cheek pads available in multiple thicknesses as spare parts.
  • Youth Medium (YM) and Youth Large (YL) share the same EPS size, allowing you to purchase a YM first and convert it to YL by replacing the crown and cheek pads.
  • Youth Small (YS) features a more compact EPS and can only be customized via the cheek pads. Alpinestars’ extensive research indicates that children wearing YS are very young, typically between 3 and 4 years old, and therefore require a dedicated helmet fit.
  • Design:
  • Multi-density inner liner providing impact absorption tuned to different areas of the helmet while helping reduce overall weight.
  • Inner and outer surfaces developed to limit the effects of oblique impacts.
  • Patented low-friction coating applied to the inside of the main EPS liner to mitigate rotational acceleration forces during oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip surface, similar to cerebrospinal fluid.
  • Maximum ventilation and excellent heat exchange thanks to 10 intake and seven exhaust vents.
  • Visor designed to efficiently channel air to the various openings and promote internal airflow.
  • Patented visor release system ensures a controlled breakaway to reduce neck strain in the event of an impact.
  • Comfort inner lining made from recycled materials, helping to reduce the carbon footprint.
  • Dedicated hydration hose channels integrated into the cheek pad foam for easier use and enhanced performance.
  • Soft 25 mm textile chin strap providing an excellent level of security and comfort for the rider.
  • Protection
  • Alpinestars has set a new internal standard for the SM3 Youth, with chin bar evaluation under conditions more stringent than certification. To meet this, the shell thickness and chin area architecture have been optimized to improve impact absorption.
  • Equipped with the Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads for safe, easy helmet removal; contoured 3D foam provides a high level of rider comfort.
  • Stainless-steel rings ensure reliable tightening and a precise fit.
