  • EBC WATER GROOVED brake shoes are manufactured with die-cast aluminium backings for most two-wheelers or stamped steel backings for most ATVs, and are fitted with bonded brake linings. All shoes are ground and deburred for a precise fit in the drum, with inlet and outlet chamfers at the ends and OEM-style springs.
  • The multiple grooves are designed to channel dirt, dust, water and debris away from the braking surface to improve braking performance and extend the life of the drum and brake shoe.
  • In the past some mechanics would saw these grooves directly into the linings; we do not recommend this method, although NO EBC brake shoe contains hazardous fibers.
  • WARNING: ALWAYS REPLACE LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKE SHOES AT THE SAME TIME on four-wheeled quads to avoid asymmetric braking, which could cause the vehicle to pull to one side and lead to an accident.
