  • Practical method to measure bolt center-to-center spacing: if you don't have calipers to measure the center-to-center distance of your original fuel petcock bolts, bend a stiff wire into a horseshoe (U) shape, place the ends against the bolt heads, then transfer that distance to a ruler to obtain the spacing.
