  • ProX pistons generally follow the original (OEM) configurations; however, when ProX engineers identify an opportunity to improve performance, these parts are modified and optimized accordingly.
  • ProX cast pistons offer high dimensional and functional stability, ensuring reliable long-term performance.
  • These cast pistons are produced by gravity casting in a specially formulated aluminum alloy containing approximately 18% silicon for improved mechanical and thermal properties.
  • Silicon plays a decisive role in the composition of ProX pistons: it limits the thermal expansion of the alloy, thereby contributing to better control of clearances and reduced wear.
  • ProX pistons for two-stroke engines are designed to be compatible with cast-iron cylinder liners as well as Nikasil-coated liners.
  • For Nikasil cylinder liners, ProX offers several oversize options divided into classes A, B, C, and D; each class corresponds to an increase in piston diameter of 0.01 mm compared to the previous size.
