  • ProX pistons largely retain the original (OEM) configurations; however, they are modified whenever ProX engineers identify an opportunity to improve performance in order to optimize engine behavior.
  • ProX cast pistons ensure excellent dimensional and functional stability, offering increased reliability under a variety of operating conditions.
  • These cast pistons are produced by gravity casting in a specially formulated aluminum alloy containing approximately 18% silicon, to provide mechanical and thermal properties suited to engines.
  • The silicon, present at around 18% in the alloy, plays a key role in the design of ProX cast pistons by limiting thermal expansion and contributing to component durability.
  • ProX pistons for two-stroke engines are designed to be compatible with cast-iron cylinder liners as well as with Nikasil-coated liners, thus covering several types of cylinder coatings.
  • For Nikasil cylinder liners, ProX offers several oversize options classified as sizes A, B, C, and D; each oversize step corresponds to an increase in diameter of 0.01 mm, allowing a precise fit during assembly.
