  • ProX pistons most often retain the original (OEM) configuration; however, ProX engineers modify the design when opportunities to improve performance are identified.
  • ProX cast pistons provide excellent stability, both dimensionally and mechanically.
  • These cast pistons are produced by gravity casting from an aluminum alloy containing approximately 18% silicon.
  • The silicon in the alloy plays a key role in reducing the thermal expansion of the piston.
  • ProX pistons for two-stroke engines are designed to be compatible with cast-iron cylinder liners as well as Nikasil-coated liners.
  • For Nikasil liners, ProX offers oversizes in sizes A, B, C and D, each increment corresponding to a 0.01 mm increase in diameter.
