Ream/hone the guides, then fit/lap the valve for proper sealing. The oversized section does not reach the keeper groove; OEM keepers are compatible.

  • On certain Twin Cam cylinder heads equipped with 7.0 mm valves, cracking can occur in the port at the valve guide area.
  • These valves feature 0.005" oversize stems to restore the correct clearance between the valve stem and the guide when the cylinder head has been damaged.
  • The valve guides must be reamed/honed to achieve the proper clearance, then a valve job is required to ensure optimal sealing.
  • The oversized portion of the valve stem does not extend to the keeper groove, so the original OEM keepers can be used.
