Designed for hydraulic lifters; also compatible with solid lifters. Made in the USA. On late ’77+ models, the camshaft, pinion, and gear wheel are not interchangeable with earlier versions except as a kit; the gear features a circular groove.

  • On late-1977 and later engines, the base circle diameter of the camshaft, pinion gear, and relief-valve gear wheel was changed. These parts are not interchangeable with earlier versions unless replaced as a set. Late-1977 and newer gearsets can be identified by a machined circular groove on the outer face of the camshaft pinion gear.
