Camshaft stronger than the 525s without sacrificing low-end torque. Optimized lobe for quiet valvetrain and a 1,900–6,000 rpm range. Bolt-in for 96 and 103 ci; also works on 88 ci. Easy starting, better throttle response, and improved fuel economy. Benefits from more compression, performance exhaust, and a high‑flow air filter. 1999–2004 valve springs required; performance pushrods and lifters recommended but not mandatory. Made in the USA.
