  • Economy starters designed to be affordable while incorporating bearings that are significantly stronger and more durable than the original factory-installed ones.
  • On many OEM models, an unprotected output needle bearing is placed outside the output shaft seal; this configuration leaves the unit vulnerable to ingress.
  • Moisture can then enter the electric motor housing and reach this exposed bearing, causing it to corrode and wear prematurely.
  • Rick's redesigned the assembly by installing a double-sealed ball bearing and positioning the output shaft seal outside the bearing on their new replacement unit.
  • This clever solution effectively protects the outer bearing from water while allowing the sealed ball bearing to be replaced if necessary.
