  • On many OEM starters, the output needle bearing sits outside the shaft seal and is unprotected; as a result, moisture can enter the motor housing (case) and reach the bearing, causing it to corrode.
  • Rick's equips its new replacement part with a double-sealed ball bearing and positions the output seal outside the bearing, thereby improving protection of the assembly.
  • This clever solution achieves two objectives: it protects the outer bearing from water and makes the sealed ball bearing replaceable, simplifying maintenance and extending the starter's service life.
