  • Economy starter motors engineered with bearings more robust than the original equipment for improved durability.
  • On many original models, the output needle bearing is unprotected and sits outside the shaft seal; moisture can then enter the starter motor's output cap and reach the bearing, causing corrosion.
  • Rick's provides an engineering improvement by replacing that arrangement with a double-sealed ball bearing, positioned so the shaft seal sits outside the bearing in the new aftermarket unit.
  • Design focused on reliability: the outer bearing is protected against water, and the sealed ball bearing is designed to be replaceable to simplify maintenance.
