  • Economy starters equipped with bearings designed to last longer than the original (OEM) ones.
  • On many OEM starters, the output needle bearing is exposed outside the shaft seal; moisture can enter the motor housing and travel up the armature shaft to the unprotected needle bearing, causing corrosion.
  • Rick's has incorporated a double-sealed ball bearing into its new replacement unit, with the output shaft seal positioned outside the bearing.
  • This clever design protects the outer bearing from water and makes it easier to replace the sealed ball bearing when necessary.
