  • On many original starters, the output needle bearing is unprotected outside the shaft seal; moisture can enter the motor's output cover and reach the bearing, causing it to corrode.
  • Rick's improves this design by fitting a double-sealed ball bearing in its new aftermarket unit for superior protection against ingress.
  • In the redesigned unit, the output shaft seal is positioned outside the bearing, limiting the bearing's direct exposure to external elements.
