  • Economical starters, designed with bearings that offer superior durability compared to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.
  • On many OEM starters, the output needle bearing is exposed outside the shaft seal; moisture can thus enter the starter motor's output cap and travel up the armature shaft to the unprotected needle bearing, causing corrosion.
  • Rick’s addresses this by equipping its new aftermarket unit with a double-sealed ball bearing and by placing the shaft output seal outside the bearing.
  • This clever design serves two purposes: to protect the outboard bearing from water, and to make the sealed ball bearing replaceable.
