  • Economy starters designed with bearings that are stronger and more durable than the originals, for increased longevity.
  • Many original (OEM) starters use an unprotected needle-type output bearing located outside the shaft seal; in such cases, moisture can enter the motor housing and reach the bearing, causing it to corrode.
  • Rick's equips its new replacement part with a double-sealed ball bearing, placing the output shaft seal outside the bearing to improve protection.
  • This clever design serves two purposes: it protects the outer bearing from water intrusion and also allows the sealed ball bearing to be replaced if necessary.
