  • Affordable starters equipped with bearings designed to be more durable than the original (OEM) ones.
  • On many OEM starters, the output needle bearing sits outside the shaft seal and is unprotected; moisture can get into the electric motor's output cap and travel up the armature shaft to the unprotected needle bearing, causing corrosion and deterioration.
  • Rick's improves on this design by installing a double-sealed ball bearing on their new aftermarket unit, placing the output shaft seal outside the bearing for increased protection.
  • This clever solution serves two important functions: it protects the outer bearing from water and allows the sealed ball bearing to be replaced if necessary.
