  • Economical starters designed with bearings that are more robust and longer-lasting than the original equipment bearings.
  • Many original models use a needle bearing on the output that is not protected by the shaft seal; as a result, moisture can enter the starter motor's output cap and reach this bearing, causing it to corrode.
  • Rick's improves the design by equipping its new aftermarket unit with a double-sealed ball bearing and by positioning the output shaft seal outside the bearing to better protect the rolling element.
  • A smart design: the outer bearing receives enhanced water protection, while the sealed ball bearing remains replaceable to simplify maintenance and extend the unit's service life.
