  • Some or all shocks in this range are approved for road use: check the most recent certificate for the up-to-date list of approved models.
  • Multiple finishes available: fully chromed or black covers, with springs and end caps in chrome or black.
  • Made in the USA.
  • All shocks are measured eyelet-to-eyelet.
  • On XL '86-'15 models, installation may require modification or the addition of spacers on the chain/belt case to ensure adequate clearance.
  • A shock slightly longer than stock may alter the rake and make the steering a bit quicker.
  • Conversely, a shock slightly shorter than stock may alter the rake and slow the steering.
  • For motorcycles regularly used at or near the manufacturer's maximum load (more than 50% of the time), heavy-duty applications are recommended.
  • Before purchasing or installing shocks whose length differs from the OEM, verify that wheel travel can be changed without risk of interference (swingarm/axle with the exhaust, or chain/belt guard with the tire).
