  • All shocks are measured eyelet-to-eyelet.
  • When installing on XL models ('86-'15), it may be necessary to modify or space the chain/belt guard to ensure adequate clearance.
  • A shock slightly longer than stock may change the rake and result in quicker steering.
  • A shock slightly shorter than stock may also change the rake and slow steering response.
  • Heavy-duty applications are recommended for motorcycles used at, or near, the manufacturer's maximum load more than 50% of the time.
  • Before purchasing or installing shocks of a different length than OEM, verify that wheel travel can be altered without risk of interference (swingarm/axle with the exhaust, or chain/belt guard with the tire).
