  • All shocks are measured from eyelet to eyelet.
  • For installation on XL models '86–'15, it may be necessary to modify or shim the chain/belt cover to achieve sufficient clearance.
  • A shock slightly longer than stock can alter the rake angle and make the steering sharper.
  • A shock slightly shorter than stock can alter the rake angle and make the steering slower.
  • Heavy-duty applications are recommended for motorcycles ridden at or near the manufacturer's maximum load more than 50% of the time.
  • Before buying or installing shocks of a different length than OEM, check that wheel travel can be changed without risk of interference (swingarm/axle with the exhaust, or chain/belt guard with the tire).
