412 shocks for Harley: a robust, cost-effective suspension upgrade with a 5-position cam preload adjuster. Available in chrome or black; some models are certified/approved (see certificate). Made in the USA and measured eye-to-eye. On XL models ('86–'15) the cover may require modification; a different length will change the rake angle and handling — check for interference and opt for the reinforced version for heavy use.

  • The clean, rugged profile of the 412 shock absorbers offers an economical way to improve suspension performance.
  • Cam-adjustable spring preload with 5 positions for simple, quick suspension adjustment.
  • Some or all of the shocks listed carry road approval (homologation): check the most recent certificate for the up-to-date list.
  • Different styles available: bodies/covers fully chrome or black, with springs and end caps offered in chrome or black finish.
  • Product made in the United States.
  • Each shock is measured eye-to-eye to ensure dimensional compatibility.
  • On XL models from '86 to '15, installation may require modification or the addition of spacers to the chain/belt cover to ensure sufficient clearance.
  • A shock slightly longer than stock can change the rake angle and provide quicker steering.
  • A shock slightly shorter than stock can also alter the rake angle and make the steering slightly heavier (less responsive).
  • For motorcycles frequently used near or at the manufacturer's maximum load (more than 50% of the time), we recommend heavy-duty applications.
  • Before purchasing or installing shocks of a different length than OEM, verify that wheel travel can be changed without risk of interference (swingarm/axle with the exhaust, or chain/belt guard with the tire).
