  • Some or all shocks listed are street-legal; consult the most recent certificate for an up-to-date list of approved parts.
  • Several cosmetic finishes available: fully chromed or black covers, and springs and end caps in chrome or black finish.

  • Each shock is measured eye-to-eye to ensure the listed dimensions are accurate.
  • On XL models from 1986 to 2015, installation may require modifying or adding spacers to the chain or belt case to ensure adequate clearance.
  • A shock slightly longer than the original can change the rake angle and result in slightly quicker steering.
  • A shock slightly shorter than the original length can also change the rake angle, but will tend to slow steering responsiveness.
  • Heavy-duty applications are recommended for motorcycles used at or near the manufacturer's maximum load more than 50% of the time.
  • Before purchasing or installing shocks that differ in length from the original equipment, verify that wheel travel can be altered without risk of interference (swingarm/axle with the exhaust, or chain/belt guard with the tire).
