  • Engineered on an anatomical base and specifically profiled for youth and juniors, the all-new SM3 Youth is designed for MX, enduro, and off-road riding.
  • Lightweight helmet with a thermo-injected polymer blend shell featuring variable thicknesses, offering the best balance between impact protection and low weight.
  • Advanced thermoplastic outer shell, impact-resistant and ultra-light, available in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large). SM3 Youth weight: 1,060 g.
  • Custom fit thanks to crown and cheek pads available in multiple thicknesses as genuine replacement parts.
  • Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, allowing you to buy a YM first and later upgrade to Youth Large by replacing the crown and cheek pads.
  • The Youth Small features a more compact EPS and can only be customized via the cheek pads. Alpinestars’ research shows that children wearing YS are very young (around 3 to 4 years old) and require a dedicated fit.
  • Multi-density inner liner for optimized impact absorption while keeping overall weight down.
  • Internal and external surfaces engineered to reduce the effects of oblique impacts.
  • Patented low-friction coating applied inside the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces during oblique impacts; this layer acts as a slip plane, much like cerebrospinal fluid.
  • Patented visor release system ensures controlled release and reduces stress on the neck in the event of an impact.
  • Interior lining made with recycled materials to reduce the carbon footprint.

  • Alpinestars introduces an internal standard specific to the SM3 Youth: the chin bar is tested under conditions more stringent than certification. Shell thickness and chin-area architecture have been optimized for improved impact absorption.
  • Equipped with the Emergency Release System with removable cheek pads for safe, easy removal even while the helmet is being worn; 3D-contoured foam for enhanced comfort.
  • 25 mm soft textile chin strap ensuring optimal safety and comfort.
  • Stainless steel rings for a secure fit.
