  • The SM3 helmet has been specifically designed for MX, Enduro and off-road riding, incorporating a range of innovations and technologies engineered to simplify use, enhance comfort and optimize impact protection.
  • The outer shell is made from a special thermo-injected polymer with variable thickness, developed to offer the best compromise between high impact protection and light weight.
  • An innovative low-friction interior coating, patented by Alpinestars, is applied to the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces generated during certain oblique impacts.
  • This low-friction layer acts as an internal slip plane, mimicking the behavior of cerebrospinal fluid and the body’s natural defense against oblique impacts.
  • The helmet incorporates a patented visor release system that allows the visor to detach under a predefined force, thereby effectively reducing loads applied to the neck in the event of an impact.
  • Ventilation has been optimized to provide maximum airflow and high thermal transfer, thanks to a configuration that includes 10 intake vents and 7 exhaust vents.
